This will be my last post of the blog about my study abroad experience. I’m safely back in the U.S. and glad to be here. I miss things about Spain like hearing Spanish everywhere I go and I’m sure I’ll miss how much walking I did while there. The goodbyes were extremely hard because we all live in different parts of the U.S. so the chances of seeing each other are slim. But even knowing how hard it is to say goodbye to people you’ve shared four months of your life wit,h I would do the whole thing over again in a heartbeat.
Sure, studying abroad had its down-times and there were days where I just wanted to be home, but I feel as if I’ve grown a lot as a person and gained a lot of inner confidence that will hopefully translate into my daily life. I can understand a lot more Spanish than I could before I went to Spain and I hope to continue finding ways to use it even when I go to graduate school and focus my studies on biochemistry.
Until the next adventure!
